Moxie Offers a Fresh Approach to Conscious Dining in Central

[Hong Kong– 13th August 2021] Moxie, The Arcane Collective’s third restaurant, is proudly opening its doors in LANDMARK, Central on Monday 23rdAugust 2021.  Led by Head Chef and Arcane veteran Michael Smith, this new smart casual restaurant will offer breakfast,lunch and dinner to guests looking for conscious dining options that underline their relationship with food, their health and their local environment.

 

The menu at Moxie will reflect the values of Shane Osborn and The Arcane Collective: focusing on ingredient-led, unpretentious food with amulti-cultural approach. As with Arcane and Cornerstone, Moxie’s food is cooked and served with integrity by people who are passionate about their craft, while supporting a community of specialist and artisan farmers,growers and suppliers of the best produce locally and internationally.

As with Arcane and Cornerstone, Moxie’s food is cooked and served with integrity by people who are passionate about their craft, while supporting a community of specialist and artisan farmers,growers and suppliers of the best produce locally and internationally.

Moxie will offer mainly vegetarian dishes as well as some sustainably sourced seafood options.  Signatures will include Ruby Beetroots with Taiwanese Mango, Feta and Jalapeño Dressing; Three Grain Mapo Tofu; Seared Fremantle Octopus with Broccolini, Fresh Burrata and Salsa Verde and desserts such as Warm Chocolate Tart with Espresso Chantilly and Mille Feuille with Seasonal Fruits and Coconut Pastry Cream.

 

Moxie’s Head Chef Michael Smith states: “Moxie has been created as an approachable and produce driven restaurant. We draw inspiration from working closely with our suppliers and our dish ideas center around in-season ingredients we are proud to showcase.  Our contemporary cooking style will allow fora dynamic menu including daily specials changing with the seasons and availability.”

 

Located on the mezzanine floor of Alexandra House, LANDMARK, Moxie was designed by Pure Creative, who also designed Arcane with Shane Osborn back in 2014.  Given a brief to keep the theme both natural and vegetal to complement the cooking, the space has been kept simple with a focus on the open kitchen as the core of the restaurant, with its black cladded metal counter and light blue grey marble top. Natural oak wood was also used for the woodfins screens, floor and furniture, and the surrounding gun powder black metalfinish acts as a black canvas, bringing a dramatic touch to the general ambiance. The wood fins enclosure is an important design element, keeping theoutside seating areas cozy yet bold. The undulating partition alongside thecorridor helps to break down its linear monotony, as the slanted fins create anoptical sense of movement while walking through.

We have worked tirelessly to put together menus that are ethically sourced that also offer outstanding,innovative food that people want to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner.”

Moxie is located at Shop 203, 2/F Alexandra House, LANDMARK, Central and has a maximum seating capacity of 42 pax.  

Moxie opens its doors for all-day dining including lunch and dinner on Monday 23 August 2021. Moxie will start offering cooked breakfast options from late September 2021.
